Bernhard has decades of professional experience in the real estate industry, particularly around large-volume project development and financing as well as the restructuring of all types of projects in crisis. This experience is based on his work as an equity partner at the law firms Lovells and CMS Hasche Sigle and as a managing director of property companies.
His spectrum includes hotels, other special assets, office properties and the reorganisation and change of use of industrial sites for equity investors. He has been involved in all project stages, from property valuation, due diligence review, negotiation of all relevant contracts including financing agreements up to the closing of the transactions. The volume of national and international transactions managed by him as the responsible lawyer exceeds EUR 2 billion.
Law degree and doctorate from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, 2nd state law examination at the Higher Regional Court of Munich, Master of Law (banking and finance law) from Queen Mary University, London.
